Restoration of Heritage Landmark Building

CLIENT: INNER WEST COUNCIL

Canopy Constructions is proud to have led the restoration of the iconic Balmain Town Hall & Library, a heritage landmark for the Inner West Council. This comprehensive project involved a range of specialist works, including the installation of a new metal roof and roof plumbing, lead paint removal, meticulous façade restoration, and fresh painting throughout the entire building. In addition, the scope of works featured the installation of new joinery, carpet, and lighting, alongside the replacement of key elements of the timber roof structure and the safe abatement of hazardous materials.

The project successfully revitalized the aging public asset, preserving its historic charm while preparing it for modern use. The result is an extraordinary transformation that breathes new life into the building, ensuring it stands proudly for another century as a central piece of Balmain’s cultural and civic identity.

Lead Paint Stripping & Roof Replacement

CLIENT: INNER WEST COUNCIL

Restoration and enhancement of Newtown Town Hall, a heritage-listed landmark, involved critical tasks to preserve its historical significance and structural integrity. This included lead paint stripping, HAZMAT abatement, structural timber repairs, and metal roof and guttering replacement. This endeavour has breathed new life into an aging asset and signifies Inner West Council’s commitment to preserving Newtown Town Hall’s cultural heritage and ensuring its longevity for future generations.

St George Bank’s state-of-the-art retail banking precinct at Wetherill Park was designed to provide cutting-edge banking solutions to customers, utilising the latest technologies in the retail banking industry.

Heritage Naval Museum

CLIENT: DEPARTMENT OF DEFENCE

The Defence Naval Museum at Garden Island underwent an award-winning refurbishment to enhance the visitor experience and preserve the proud history of Australia’s naval defence. This innovative design and high-quality construction brought new life to the historical site.

Luxury Residential

CLIENT: TRAVERSE

Immaculately finished and elevated coastal home with sweeping ocean views. This residential new build in Waverley was a striking masterpiece for our repeat client.

Zambrero Mexican Restaurant

CLIENT: ZAMBRERO

The visually stunning and highly functional fit-out of Zambrero’s latest feel-good Mexican restaurant at Box Hill. The project involved a full interior fit-out, including the installation of flooring, lighting, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Our team worked closely with the Zambrero team to ensure the design vision was executed to perfection whilst being delivered on-time and budget. The end result is a stunning and functional space that will serve as a welcoming dining experience for customers.
